1. Who is responsible for processing your data

Your data is processed under the joint responsibility of:

• Bestrateo Limited, registered office at 128 City Rd, London, EC1V 2NX (United Kingdom).
• Maria Suárez Gallego, Spanish national ID 46699558J, address at Can Batlle, 08398 Santa Susanna, Barcelona (Spain).
• Contact address for anything relating to your data: hello@bestrateo.com

2. What data we collect

Only what you give us when you write to us or request a document. We do not buy lists, we do not collect data from third parties, and there is no user registration on this site.

• Contact form: name, company, email address, phone number and whatever you write in the message. Phone and company are optional.
• ROI calculator report: name, company, sector and email address, together with the figures you entered into the calculator and the result it returned. They are used so the report carries your numbers rather than a generic example.
• Anti-spam verification: when either form is submitted, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not an automated program. To do so it processes your IP address and technical browser data.
• The path of the page you are writing from, so we know which content generates enquiries. It is not personal data in itself and is not cross-referenced with anything.

3. What we do NOT do with your data

This section is here because it is as informative as the previous one.

• No analytics tools are installed. No Google Analytics or equivalent.
• No social media scripts, no advertising pixels, no third-party cookies for commercial purposes.
• We do not profile your behaviour automatically, nor make automated decisions that affect you.
• We do not sell or pass your data to anyone for commercial purposes.
• We do not collect your device model, operating system or unique device identifiers.

4. What we use it for

• Answering what you ask, preparing proposals and following up on the conversation.
• Sending you the extended calculator report, if you requested it.
• Sending you content about automation for small businesses, and only if you explicitly ticked the second box on the report form. That box is never pre-ticked, and you can unsubscribe from any message.
• Preventing abuse of the forms: spam, automated submissions and unauthorised access.

5. On what lawful basis

• Your consent, to reply to you and to send you the report. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to hello@bestrateo.com, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before that.
• Your specific and separate consent, for commercial content.
• Our legitimate interest, for anti-spam verification and the security of the site.
• Compliance with legal obligations, where one requires us to keep or disclose information.

6. Who else sees your data

We do not pass your data to third parties for their own purposes. We do use providers who process it on our behalf, following our instructions and under a data processing agreement. These are they, and what each one is for:

• Cloudflare — website hosting and anti-spam verification with Turnstile.
• Make — automation of the submission: it receives what you write in the form and routes it. Its servers are in the European Union.
• Google Firebase (Firestore) — record of the enquiries and requests received.
• IONOS — mail server the automatic reply is sent from.
• Tally — the six-question form before the meeting, if you decide to book one.
• Google Calendar — the calendar for choosing a meeting time.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to write through that channel. WhatsApp’s own terms then also apply.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data until you ask us to remove it. An email to hello@bestrateo.com is enough and it is deleted.

After that we keep only what a legal obligation requires us to keep, and only for as long as that obligation states.

8. Your rights

Over your data you can exercise these rights:

• Access: ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification: ask us to correct anything wrong or complete anything missing.
• Erasure: ask us to delete it.
• Restriction of processing: ask us to keep it but stop using it.
• Objection: object to us processing it.
• Portability: ask us to hand it to you or send it to another organisation in a reusable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.

9. How to exercise them and how to complain

Write to hello@bestrateo.com. You do not have to pay anything to exercise your rights, and we have one month to reply.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or with our reply, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, www.ico.org.uk. If your complaint concerns Maria Suárez Gallego as a Spanish sole trader, you can also go to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change the tools we use or the data we collect, we will update this page and the date above. Changes affecting processing based on your consent will be asked of you again, not assumed.
