Cookie policy
This site uses very few cookies, and all of them are technical. There is no advertising, no social buttons tracking you, and no analytics that needs cookies. The detail is below, cookie by cookie.

1. What a cookie is
A small file a website stores on your device to remember something between one page and the next. Without them it is impossible to know, for example, that you have already been through an earlier step.

3. Which cookies this site uses
Every cookie here is technically necessary: without it the site cannot do what it is asked to do.

4. What it does NOT use
- No analytics cookies: no Google Analytics or equivalent. Audience measurement on this site works without cookies, and is explained in the next section.
- No advertising or commercial profiling cookies.
- No pixels or scripts from LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, YouTube or Twitter.
- No third-party cookies for commercial purposes.
5. Audience measurement without cookies
This site measures how many people visit it and which pages are read, using a tool called Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is the only analytics here, and it works differently from the usual kind: it neither stores nor reads anything on your device.
When a page loads, Cloudflare is sent the address visited, the site you arrived from if you came from another one, and technical browser and page-speed data. Your IP address is used at that moment to derive the country and is not stored.
No cookie is set, no browser storage is used, and no digital fingerprint of your device is built. That means you are not identified, two of your visits cannot be linked to each other, and you are not followed from this site to any other. What comes out are totals: how many visits each page received, not who made them.
That is why there is no box here to accept or reject it: the duty to ask for consent arises from storing or reading information on your device, and neither happens here. If you would still rather your visit was not counted, you can block the domain static.cloudflareinsights.com in your browser, or write to us at hello@bestrateo.com.
6. Why the notice does not ask for permission
The rules require consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Every cookie on this site is, and the audience measurement described in the previous section uses none, so the notice you see on arrival only informs you: it carries no accept or reject buttons, because there is nothing to accept or reject.
If we ever add a cookie that does require consent, the corresponding banner will appear before it is set, with rejecting it as easy as accepting it, and this page will be updated.
7. Local storage
When you dismiss the cookie notice, your browser stores a value called bst_aviso_cookies in its local storage, so it is not shown again on later visits. It contains no personal data: only the mark that you have read it. It is cleared by clearing this site’s data from your browser.
Besides cookies, the site may store a value in your browser’s session storage if you dismiss the floating WhatsApp button, so it is not shown again during that visit. It is cleared when you close the tab and contains no personal data.
If you request the calculator report, that same session storage keeps the name, company and email you have just typed, for one purpose only: so the pre-review questionnaire arrives with those fields already filled in and you do not have to type them twice. It stays in your browser, is not sent anywhere by this means, you can correct the fields before submitting them, and it is cleared once you finish booking or close the tab.
8. How to delete or block them
You can delete stored cookies and block future ones from your browser settings. Bear in mind that if you block the technical ones, the forms on this site will stop working, because the anti-spam check cannot complete.
